Other drivers on the tour seemed to be courteous and taking there time as well so we didn't feel rushed or pushed. Take your time with the drive through tour, it's well worth it and there is a lot to see if you're willing to be patient. Still, what we COULD hear of the tour was very informative, and since you can take it all at your own pace, it's a lot of fun. Between squeals of joy and shouts of "cow" (for anything with horns) and "duck" (for every large bird), our car was a little noisy. We had a very excited two year old with us, so listening to the audio tour as we went through was admittedly difficult. There were a pair of giant tortoises right at the front gates so you immediately got the feel for just how close the animals would be. We were able to find a discount coupon online (they almost always have easy to find coupons, but even if you have to pay full price it's worth it), and the ticket agent at the entrance was very quick to get us in (even when we had to use 4 different credit cards). First because you'll avoid the majority of the crowds and secondly because all of the animals are very active in the morning, especially the lions. The giraffe feeding, Gem dig Site, and feeding at the petting zoo isjust a small fee. The price of all the rides & water park are included. But think of it as a fun day out with family & friends. There are discount coupons at their website and if you search online. There is a picnic area onsite where you can bring in a small picnic basket. Rent a cabin to stay overnight and be lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of the animals. They also have a KOA campground right next store. You can also rent a vehicle if you don't want to take your own car in the drive-through safari. enjoy a pontoon boat ride or a paddle boat ride on their lake.
